Introduction
Trakya University Center for Research and Practice on Gifted and Talented Education has been founded on 24th of June, 2020 upon the approval of the Turkish Council of Higher Education. The center began its activities with the regulatory decree issued on Turkish Official Gazette dated 10/05/2020, with print number 31265.
In order to support beneficial activities targeting gifted children, their families and their educators; the center brings together academics from Trakya University that work in a broad spectrum of fields ranging from pedagogy, special needs education, computing, software development, physics, chemistry, mathematics, psychology and medicine.
Fields of Interest
- * Design of instruction and curricula targeting gifted children
- * The development and provision of support services targeting families of gifted children
- * The development and provision of support services targeting educators of gifted children
- * The development and administration of instruments for the evaluation of gifted children
- * Research and Development work on gifted children's education
- * Collaboration with other institutions via projects for the purpose of providing services for gifted children's education
- * The organization of various events, meetings, workshops and conferences in order to further the center's agenda
